What Can I Do?

New to Activism?

1.  Have you testified or made recommendations for the NJDOE?

2.  Have joined NPE's letter writing campaign to Sen. Alexander and the HELP committee?

3.  Have you expressed your opinion to the Senate on ESEA/NCLB?

4.  Have you ever met your State Legislators

Now is a great time to test your new-found powers, selflessly.  They actually exist to serve you and your needs and solve problems. Pick any one of them.

>>> You can email them at:

 [Sen/Asm/Asw][Last Name]@njleg.org

>>> Or, set an appointment to meet in-person.

What does this do?

  1. It gets their attention and hook-loops the issue forward.
  2. It EMPOWERS you.
  3. Welcome to Advocacy... It is addicting.  If you lead this revolution, you are going to be sticking around for a while.  What can't you fix?  Your relationship with your state legislator may be only the beginning of new opportunities that YOU create for the benefit of the state and your community.

The purpose of public education is to create an active and engaged citizenry.

Thank you for YOUR leadership.
